Our story

PowderKeg Records was created in 2018 by Kelcie Winningham after seeing a rise in independent artists in the city of Asheville, NC. Having studied music business with a concentration in audio production, and having worked in the music industry, Kelcie took on the venture of starting her own company to share that experience and use it to propel other artists’ careers. Her goal is to provide support to those who have the passion, but may not know how to take the next step in their journey.

PowderKeg Records works alongside artists by creating and building their social media presence, assisting them with the pre-production, recording, and post-production stages of creating an album, providing digital distribution services, marketing, and booking. 

PowderKeg Records' mission is to pave the foundation for an artist to become as successful as possible in the Music Industry.

 Currently serving the Pacific Northwest, predominately Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.
